Prepare the Edamame
Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

Cook the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods. Boil them for about 5-6 minutes until they are tender but still slightly firm.

Drain and Season
After boiling, drain the edamame in a colander and let them cool for a minute. In a large bowl, toss the edamame with olive oil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until evenly coated.

Transfer the seasoned edamame to a serving dish. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the edamame as desired.
