Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned salmon (drained and flaked), breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should be able to make approximately 6 patties.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan; you may need to do this in batches.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce or on a bun with toppings.
