Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Thinly slice the ribeye steak against the grain. Slice the onion and green bell pepper into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced ribeye steak. Season with salt and black pepper, and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine and Melt

Return the sautéed onions and peppers to the skillet with the steak. Lay the provolone cheese slices over the top and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook until the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. Fill each roll with the steak, onion, and pepper mixture. Serve hot.
