Chicken Wings
Spicy Sauce
Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Clean and Dry the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the right temperature.
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Drain and Set Aside
Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Keep warm.
Preparation of Spicy Sauce
- 6
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until fully liquefied.
- 7
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, add the hot sauce, honey, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- 8
Simmer the Sauce
Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve
- 9
Coat the Wings
In a large mixing bowl, add the fried chicken wings. Pour the spicy sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- 10
Serve
Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter and serve hot. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces or sides.
