Prepare the Mixing Glass
Start by filling a mixing glass with ice cubes to chill it while you prepare the other ingredients.

Pour 2 oz of bourbon and 1 oz of sweet vermouth into the mixing glass. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds to combine the ingredients and chill the drink.

Remove the ice from your mixing glass and strain the cocktail into a chilled rocks glass or an old-fashioned glass.

Express the oils from an orange twist over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving it a gentle twist. Drop the twist into the drink as a garnish.
