Prime Rib Dip Ingredients

Method

Prime Rib Dip Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Rub the prime rib with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place the prime rib in a roasting pan, fat side up.

  2. 2

    Roast the Prime Rib

Roast the prime rib in the preheated oven for 20 minutes to create a crust. Then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Au Jus

While the meat is resting, place the roasting pan on the stove over medium heat. Add the beef broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly reduced.

  4. 4

    Slice the Prime Rib

Once rested, slice the prime rib thinly against the grain.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the French rolls in half. On the bottom half, layer the sliced prime rib and drizzle with au jus. Spread horseradish sauce on the top half and close the sandwich.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches with a side of fries and additional au jus for dipping.
