Grilled Chicken

Salad Base

Method

Grilling Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

  2. 2

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the mixed salad greens. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and halve the cherry tomatoes.

  3. 5

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and crumbled bacon. Add the smoked gouda cheese, either shredded or cubed, and toss gently.

Final Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine Chicken and Salad

Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the assembled salad. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette to taste and serve immediately.
