Mimosa Directions
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients needed for the mimosa. Make sure the champagne or sparkling wine is chilled in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours before serving.
Juice the Oranges
If using fresh oranges, cut them in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. Strain the juice to remove any pulp or seeds, if desired. You will need about 2 cups of fresh orange juice.
Mix the Mimosa
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh orange juice with the sugar (if using). Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved.
Serve the Mimosa
Fill each champagne flute halfway with the orange juice mixture, then top with champagne or sparkling wine. Pour carefully to avoid overflowing.
Garnish
Cut a fresh orange into wedges or slices for garnish. Place a slice on the rim of each champagne flute for an elegant touch.
Enjoy
Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing mimosas at brunch or any special occasion.
