Kimchi Slaw
Soy Sake Glaze
Method
Steak Pinchos
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Cut the sirloin steak into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
- 2
Marinate the Steak
Add olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss until the steak is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Skewer the Steak
After marinating, thread the steak cubes onto the skewers, 3-4 pieces per skewer.
- 4
Kimchi Slaw
- 5
Prepare the Vegetables
In a large bowl, combine the shredded Napa cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, and kimchi.
- 6
Dress the Slaw
Drizzle sesame oil and rice vinegar over the vegetables. Season with salt to taste and toss well to combine.
Soy Sake Glaze
- 7
Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, sake, and brown sugar. Stir over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
- 8
Thicken the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Gradually add this slurry to the saucepan, stirring continuously until the glaze thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.
