Mahi

Garlic Cilantro Sauce

Method

Prepare Mahi

  1. 1

    Season the Mahi

In a bowl, mix together paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this spice mixture all over the mahi mahi fillets.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mahi

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned mahi mahi fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a blackened crust. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare Cabbage Slaw

  1. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Toss well to combine and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Prepare Garlic Cilantro Sauce

  1. 4

    Blend the Sauce

In a blender or food processor, combine minced garlic, fresh cilantro, sour cream, lime juice, and salt to taste. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a skillet or on a grill, warm the flour tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 6

    Build the Tacos

On each warm tortilla, layer blackened mahi, a generous scoop of cabbage slaw, diced tomatoes, pickled red onions, and drizzle with garlic cilantro sauce.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the mahi tacos immediately with extra lime wedges on the side if desired.
