Shrimp Marinade

Chimichurri Sauce

Method

Shrimp Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the raw shrimp to the marinade mixture. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Chimichurri Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Chimichurri Sauce

In a food processor or blender, combine chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Blend until the mixture is well combined but still chunky. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  2. 4

    Serve the Sauce

Transfer the chimichurri sauce to a serving bowl and set aside.

Grilling the Shrimp

  1. 5

    Prepare the Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. If using metal skewers, they are ready to use.

  2. 6

    Skewer the Shrimp

Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.

  3. 7

    Grill the Shrimp

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

  4. 8

    Serve

Remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately with the chimichurri sauce drizzled over the top or on the side.
