Chicken Tenders Ingredients

Method

Chicken Tenders Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by trimming the chicken breast fillets of any excess fat and cutting them into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour in the first dish, beat the eggs in the second dish, and combine the bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in the third dish.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Take a chicken strip and dredge it in the flour, making sure to coat it evenly. Shake off any excess flour, then dip the strip into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere. Repeat this process with all chicken strips.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. You’ll know it’s ready when a breadcrumb dropped into the oil sizzles immediately.

  5. 5

    Cook the Chicken Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
