Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- 2
Drain Pasta
Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
Making Sauce
- 3
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4
Add Chili Paste
Stir in the Calabrian chili paste and cook for another minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 5
Cook Tomatoes
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet, along with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft and begin to release their juices.
- 6
Mix Pasta and Sauce
Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet. If the mixture seems dry, add some reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
- 7
Add Basil
Stir in the chopped basil and mix well before removing from heat.

Garnish and Serve
Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and additional fresh basil if desired.
