Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cut and Soak Potatoes

Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly and cut them into thick fries. Place them in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Dry and Fry Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and dry them well with a kitchen towel. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt to taste.

Making the Butter Garlic Herb Mixture

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it is fully liquefied.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic and Herbs

Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley, rosemary, thyme, and black pepper.

Tossing the Fries

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

In a large bowl, combine the hot fries with the butter garlic herb mixture. Toss well until all the fries are evenly coated. Serve immediately.
