Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Mushrooms

Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and set them aside for later use.

  3. 3

    Arrange Mushrooms

Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet, gill side up.

Cheese Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix Cheese Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined and creamy.

  2. 5

    Add Mushroom Stems

Finely chop the reserved mushroom stems and fold them into the cheese mixture.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 6

    Stuff Mushrooms

Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the cheese filling mixture, pressing it down slightly to ensure it holds.

  2. 7

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until the breadcrumbs are coated. Sprinkle this mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.

  3. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  4. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
