Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps them cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Drizzle the olive oil over both sides of the ribeye steaks. Then, season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring an even coating.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450-500°F or 230-260°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them, allowing a nice sear to form.

  3. 5

    Flip and Continue Cooking

Flip the steaks using tongs and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time according to your desired doneness.

  4. 6

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of grilling, place a sprig of fresh rosemary on top of each steak to infuse flavor.

  5. 7

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
