Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice Onions

Thinly slice the onions and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Chop Green Chilies and Coriander

Finely chop the green chilies and fresh coriander leaves. Add them to the bowl with the onions.

  3. 3

    Add Spices

Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the bowl. Mix well to combine.

  4. 4

    Prepare Batter

In a separate bowl, mix chickpea flour and rice flour. Gradually add water, stirring until you achieve a thick batter.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the batter to the onion mixture and stir until the onions are well coated.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat enough oil over medium heat for frying.

  2. 7

    Fry the Bhajis

Using a spoon or your hands, drop small portions of the onion mixture into the hot oil. Fry in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

  3. 8

    Cook Until Golden

Fry the bhajis for about 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through cooking.

  4. 9

    Drain Excess Oil

Once cooked, remove the bhajis from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
