Method

Turkey

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub the turkey with olive oil, and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan, skin-side up. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F). Baste with drippings halfway through cooking.

  3. 3

    Rest the Turkey

Once done, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Place them in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Turkey Gravy

  1. 6

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, heat turkey drippings over medium heat. Whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add chicken broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and black pepper.

Stuffing

  1. 7

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced celery and onion and sauté until softened. In a large bowl, mix the stuffing mix with sautéed vegetables and chicken broth. Stir until well combined.

  2. 8

    Bake the Stuffing

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cranberry Sauce

  1. 9

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook until cranberries burst and sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.

Side Dish

  1. 10

    Prepare the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and quickly plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Serve warm.

Dinner Roll

  1. 11

    Warm the Rolls

Warm the dinner rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes before serving to enhance flavor.
