Method

Macaroni & Cheese

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese and Seasonings

Remove the pot from heat and stir in shredded cheese, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

  4. 4

Combine the Macaroni and Cheese Sauce

Add the drained macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash more of milk to reach desired consistency.

Side Salad

  1. 5

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Garlic Toast

  1. 7

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 8

    Toast the Bread

Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves. Place on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for about 3-5 minutes until golden and crispy.
