Meatballs Preparation

Mix the Meatball Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined without overworking the meat.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking the Meatballs

Brown the Meatballs
In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer.
Combine and Simmer

Add Meatballs to Sauce
Carefully add the browned meatballs into the simmering tomato sauce. Cover and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving

Plate and Garnish
Serve the meatballs hot, topped with coarse grated cheese. Enjoy with pasta, crusty bread, or on their own!
