Method

Dip Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Spinach

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the fresh spinach and sauté until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Artichokes

Drain the canned artichoke hearts and chop them into small pieces. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed spinach, chopped artichokes, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Bake the Dip

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Fried Pita Strips Preparation

  1. 5

    Cut the Pita

Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 7

    Fry the Pita Strips

Once the oil is hot, add the pita wedges in batches and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Pita Strips

While still warm, sprinkle the fried pita strips with salt to taste.
