Burger Patties

Bun and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into a large patty, about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked patty. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese, tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles.

  3. 6

    Add Condiments

Drizzle ketchup and mustard over the toppings as desired. Place the top bun on the burger.

Creating the Hay Stack

  1. 7

    Prepare the Hay Stack

In a bowl, mix together the potato chips, shredded cheese, and chopped green onions.

  2. 8

    Top the Burger

Carefully place the hay stack mixture on top of the assembled burger, allowing it to spill over the sides.
