Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves from the romaine lettuce. Rinse the lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Shake off excess water and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Caesar Dressing
Pour the Caesar dressing over the chopped romaine lettuce in the salad bowl. Start with half a cup and add more to taste. Toss the lettuce gently to ensure that all the leaves are evenly coated with the dressing.
- 3
Incorporate Parmesan Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese over the dressed lettuce. Use a pair of tongs or a large spoon to toss the salad again until the cheese is well distributed throughout the salad.
- 4
Add Croutons
Add croutons to the salad just before serving to maintain their crunch. Gently toss the salad to combine the croutons with the lettuce and cheese.
- 5
Season and Serve
Season the salad with freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
