Burger Patty

Bun and Condiments

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Cook the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the finely chopped onions until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix the Meat

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than your burger buns.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 4

    Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Immediately upon flipping, top each patty with bacon bits, a slice of Cure 81 ham, and a slice of pepper jack cheese. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Add American Cheese

Just before removing the patties from heat, add a slice of American cheese on top of the melted pepper jack cheese. Allow it to melt for about a minute.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Dress the Buns

Spread mustard and mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

  3. 9

    Add the Patties

Place the cooked burger patties on top of the dressed buns.

  4. 10

    Add Fresh Ingredients

Top each burger with pickles, lettuce, and tomato slices. Place the top half of the bun over the burger.
