Method

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 1

    Chop the Cabbage

Remove the outer leaves from the green and red cabbage. Cut them in half and remove the core. Thinly slice the cabbage halves into strips and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Grate the Carrots

Peel the carrots and use a grater or food processor to shred them into fine pieces. Add the grated carrots to the bowl with the cabbage.

  3. 3

    Chop the Bell Pepper

Remove the seeds and stem from the green bell pepper. Dice it finely and add it to the mixing bowl.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Dressing

In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, and celery seeds. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

Combining

  1. 5

    Combine Vegetables and Dressing

Pour the dressing over the prepared vegetables in the mixing bowl. Toss everything together until all the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.

  2. 6

    Chill and Serve

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled as a side dish.
