Add Remaining Ingredients
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

Prepare Toppings
While the chili is simmering, prepare the toppings by shredding the cheddar cheese, chopping the green onions, and placing the sour cream in a serving dish.
- 6
Serve the Chili
Once the chili has thickened and flavors have melded together, ladle it into bowls. Top each bowl with shredded cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a sprinkle of chopped green onions.
