Burger Patties

Cheese

Buns and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into thick patties, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grill or skillet with oil.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place two slices of cheddar cheese and two slices of American cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a layer of lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese.

  3. 8

    Add Toppings

Top the cheese with slices of tomato and pickles. Drizzle with ketchup and mustard to taste. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings.
