Hamburger Steak Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Burger
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Ron's seasoning salt and seasoned pepper. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.
- 2
Shape the Patties
Shape the seasoned ground beef into a round patty, approximately 1 inch thick.
- 3
Cook the Patty
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patty and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Onions Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Onions
Slice the medium onion into thin rings.
- 5
Fry the Onions
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil if needed. Add the sliced onions and sauté over medium heat until they are golden and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Sides Preparation
- 6
Cook the Fries
Prepare the frozen fries according to the package instructions, typically by baking or frying until crispy.
- 7
Toast the Texas Toast
Toast the slices of Texas toast in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
