Method

Burger Patties Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gently mix until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions (approximately 1/5 pound each). Shape each portion into a patty that is about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add slices of tomato and onion on top. Drizzle ketchup and mustard over the toppings, then cover with the top half of the bun.
