Stuffed Mushrooms Ingredients

Method

Stuffed Mushrooms Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth. Remove the stems gently and set aside the caps.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Mix the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage and garlic mixture with Romano, Asiago, and mozzarella cheeses, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  5. 5

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Take a mushroom cap and fill it generously with the cheese and sausage mixture. Repeat with all mushroom caps.

  6. 6

    Prepare for Baking

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and red wine over the mushrooms.

  7. 7

    Bake the Mushrooms

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
