Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip them, and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Place the cooked patties on the bottom halves of the buns. Add lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the buns.

Fries Directions

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Season the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste. Serve hot alongside the burgers.
