Waffle Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Cook Waffles
Grease the waffle iron lightly with cooking spray or a little melted butter. Pour enough batter into the preheated waffle iron to just cover the waffle grid. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 5-7 minutes.

While the waffles are cooking, rinse and prepare your local berries by slicing larger ones, if necessary.
