Method

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Take 4 slices of bread and lay them out on a clean surface.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese

Place 1 slice of cheddar cheese on 2 of the bread slices.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Top the cheese with the other 2 slices of bread to create 2 sandwiches.

  4. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until melted.

  5. 5

    Cook the Sandwich

Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, adding more butter as needed, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  6. 6

    Remove and Slice

Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing them in half.

Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Sprinkle with salt to taste while they are still hot.
