Tea Base

Sweetener (optional)

Garnish (optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot, making sure not to squeeze them to avoid bitterness.

Sweetening the Tea (optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweetened tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cup of honey to the hot tea. Stir until completely dissolved.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 5

    Cool Down

Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until chilled.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Tea

Pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice. Optionally, garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves before serving.
