Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.

Make the Garlic Butter
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the buttered bread.

Bake the Toast
Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice into pieces and serve warm.

Add the Tomatoes and Seasonings
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or sugar as needed.
