Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

Start by preparing the pizza dough according to your favorite recipe or use store-bought dough. Allow it to rise and rest for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

While the dough is resting, prepare your pizza sauce or use store-bought sauce. If making homemade sauce, simmer canned tomatoes with garlic, olive oil, and seasonings for about 20 minutes.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) or the temperature recommended by your pizza dough recipe.

  2. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 5

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the rolled out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

  4. 6

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the fresh basil leaves, sliced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, sliced red onions, sliced olives, chopped tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese over the cheese layer.

Baking the Pizza

  1. 7

    Bake the Pizza

Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

  2. 8

    Cool and Slice

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
