Method
Marinating the Pork
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the Teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix well.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Braising the Pork
- 3
Prepare the Braising Liquid
In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- 4
Sear the Pork
Remove the pork from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels. Heat some oil in the pot over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Braise the Pork
Pour the prepared braising liquid over the seared pork. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for about 2-3 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
