Panna Cotta Base

Method

Panna Cotta Base

  1. 1

    Prepare Gelatin

In a small bowl, combine the gelatin powder and water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.

  2. 2

    Heat Cream and Milk

In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Add Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add vanilla extract and mix well.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Berry Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare Berries

In a saucepan, combine mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. 6

    Cook the Sauce

Cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the berries start to break down and release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 7

    Cool the Sauce

Remove from heat and let the berry sauce cool completely. You can strain it if you prefer a smoother sauce.

  4. 8

    Serve

Once the panna cotta has set, carefully remove it from the molds and place it on serving plates. Top with the berry sauce before serving.
