Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preparing the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine the Sriracha sauce, red chili powder, olive oil, minced garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- 2
Marinating the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or container. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for more flavor.
- 3
Preheating the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Cooking the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 5
Adding the Cheese
In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the shredded Asiago cheese generously over the chicken breasts. Return to the oven and allow the cheese to melt and become bubbly.
- 6
Serving
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro before serving. Enjoy your Chimayo Chicken hot!
