Directions
- 1
Prepare the Jalapenos
Start by washing the jalapenos under cold water. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes carefully to reduce the heat level, if desired.
- 2
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the asiago cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
- 3
Stuff the Jalapenos
Using a spoon, fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, ensuring they are generously filled.
- 4
Wrap with Bacon
Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeno. Use toothpicks to secure the bacon if necessary.
- 5
Prepare for Cooking
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
- 6
Bake the Jalapenos
Place the bacon-wrapped jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them lightly with olive oil to help them crisp up. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapenos are tender.
- 7
Serve
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer.
