Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic-Lime Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sear the Scallops

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels, and season both sides with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the scallops in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes on one side until a golden crust forms, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

  3. 3

    Serve

Remove scallops from the skillet and place them on a serving plate. Drizzle the garlic-lime butter over the scallops and serve immediately.
