Prepare the Glass
Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add Martell VS Cognac, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, fresh lemon juice, and cane sugar.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is chilled.

Strain
Empty the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass. Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.

Garnish
Garnish the cocktail with a twist of lemon peel on top.
