Cook the Steak
Season both sides of the beef cube steaks with salt and black pepper. Dredge in flour, shaking off excess. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Gravy
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add 1/4 cup of the leftover flour from the steak to the oil, stirring to combine. Gradually whisk in milk, ensuring no lumps form. Add white pepper, salt, and black pepper to taste. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Serve
Plate the country fried steak, top with white pepper gravy, serve alongside grits and cooked eggs.
