Method
Preparing the Steak

Season the Steak
Generously season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Cook the Steak
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add garlic cloves and thyme to the skillet.

Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
Making French Fries

Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.

Making Garlic Butter

Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley and a pinch of salt. Remove from heat.
