Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the salmon is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using a charcoal grill, prepare the coals until they are covered with ash.

  2. 3

    Prepare the Grill Grates

Oil the grill grates lightly with a paper towel dipped in oil to prevent sticking.

  3. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 5-6 minutes, then carefully flip the salmon using a spatula. Grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F).

  4. 5

    Serve

Once grilled, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh dill or parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
