Garlic Parmesan Dry Rub

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve crispy fries.

  2. 2

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and makes them crispier.

  4. 4

    Dry the Fries

After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.

  5. 5

    Coat with Oil and Seasoning

In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Making the Dry Rub

  1. 6

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, paprika, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle the dry rub mixture over the coated fries and toss until they are evenly covered with the seasoning.

Baking the Fries

  1. 8

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 9

    Bake

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 10

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Garlic Parmesan Dry-Rub Fries!
