Preparation of the Fried Clam Strips

Prepare the Clam Strips
Rinse the fresh clam strips under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Cooking the Fried Clam Strips

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Clam Strips
Fry the clam strips in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Making the Coleslaw

Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Mix Well
Toss everything together until the cabbage is well coated. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
Preparing the French Fries

Cut the Potatoes
Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips.

Making the Tartar Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, finely chopped dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, and salt to taste.

Cover the tartar sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve with the clam strips.
