Caramel Flavor (optional)

Method

Preparing Cold Brew

  1. 1

    Combine Coffee and Water

In a large pitcher or jar, combine 1 cup of coarse ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Stir gently to ensure the coffee grounds are fully saturated.

  2. 2

    Steep

Cover the pitcher or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor.

  3. 3

    Strain

After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or a coffee filter into another pitcher or jar. Discard the coffee grounds.

Adding Flavor

  1. 4

    Prepare Mocha Flavor (optional)

If you want a mocha flavor, in a glass, add 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and 1 cup of milk or cream. Stir well to combine.

  2. 5

    Prepare Caramel Flavor (optional)

If you prefer caramel flavor, in a glass, add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup and 1 cup of milk or cream. Stir well to combine.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Over Ice

Fill a glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup) and pour the cold brew concentrate over the ice. If you added mocha or caramel flavor, pour the prepared mixture over the cold brew.

  2. 7

    Garnish (optional)

Top with whipped cream if desired, and drizzle additional chocolate or caramel syrup on top for extra flavor.
