Method

Chicken Cutlet Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch using a meat mallet.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

Set up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, add all-purpose flour and season with salt and black pepper. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, add breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken cutlets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

Optional Sides Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare Fries or Onion Rings

For fries, either bake or fry according to package instructions. For onion rings, follow the cooking instructions as well, ensuring they are golden and crispy.

  2. 6

    Serve with Chicken

Serve the crispy chicken cutlet hot, alongside your choice of fries, onion rings, or side salad.
