Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Vegetables

Wash and slice the tomato into thin rounds. Peel the red onion and slice it into thin rings. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Hoagie Rolls

Cut the hoagie rolls lengthwise, making sure to not cut all the way through. This will create a pocket for the filling.

Assembling the Grinder

  1. 3

    Layer the Ingredients

Start by placing 4 oz of capicola into each hoagie roll, ensuring an even distribution.

  2. 4

    Add Provolone Cheese

Top the capicola with 2 oz of provolone cheese for each grinder.

  3. 5

    Add Vegetables

Place a handful of lettuce, a few slices of tomato, and several rings of red onion on top of the cheese.

  4. 6

    Drizzle with Italian Dressing

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of Italian dressing over the vegetables in each grinder.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Grinder

Close the hoagie rolls and serve immediately. Offer optional sides like french fries, curly fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, garlic parm fries, cajun fries, or a side salad.
